Frequently Asked Questions

What does a typical day look like for boarding and daycare dogs?

At The Pups' Palace, we understand that social interaction can easily lead to overstimulation, so we allow the dogs to have two 1-hour breaks during the day and this allows time to decompress from the busy day and prevent overwhelm, which in turn reduces anxiety and risk of altercations. Here's our daily schedule:

6 AM - 8 AM:    Boarding dogs go outside, their rooms are thoroughly cleaned, and they receive their breakfast.

8 AM - 10 AM:  Eligible daycare and boarding dogs participate in supervised play groups.

10 AM - 11 AM: Break - Daycare and boarding dogs relax in their private rooms while our staff conducts wellness checks                                                    and clean the facility. Single dogs go outside to potty and enjoy the fresh air.

11 AM - 1 PM:    Eligible daycare and boarding dogs participate in supervised play groups.

1 PM - 2 PM:     Break - Daycare and boarding dogs relax in their private rooms while our staff conducts wellness checks                                                    and prepares dinner for boarding dogs. Single dogs go outside to potty and enjoy the fresh air.

2 PM - 4 PM:   Eligible daycare and boarding dogs participate in supervised play groups.

4 PM - 6 PM:   Boarding dogs receive their dinner, and go outside for the last time between 5 - 6 PM

What should I bring for my dog for their boarding stay?

FOOD

We highly recommend bringing your own food for your dog to lower the chance of stomach upset during their stay.

Please write your dogs first and last name on the food container/bag prior to their stay.

We also have a refrigerator to keep food cold if needed.

BEDDING

We prefer to use our own bedding, but you may bring a blanket if you wish. We will not accept dog beds unless it is for a medical reason, such as arthritis.

OTHER ITEMS

You may bring treats and chew bones for your dog, and these will be given at meal times.

You may bring toys for your dog, and your dog will have access to them overnight.

Please do not bring your own bowls, as we prefer to use our own. Slow feeder and elevated bowls are accepted.

What if my dog takes medication?

Our staff is able to administer medications ranging from ointments and drops, to pills and even injections.

Please provide written instructions that include the name/purpose of the medication.

There will be a one-time $5 fee added to your reservation for each dog requiring medication.

Can I bring lunch for my dog while they're at daycare?

Absolutely! Just write your dogs name on their lunch bag/box and leave it with the receptionist at drop-off. Lunch will be given at 1 PM, and your empty bag/box will be placed on the front desk for you to grab at pick-up.

What if I forget to bring their food? Or what if I don't want to bring my own food?

Palace provided meals may be given to your dog at $2/meal.

What times can I drop off and pick up my dog?

DAYCARE & BOARDING

You may drop off and pick up your dog any time during our open business hours.

GROOMING

You may drop off as early as opening but no later than 9 AM. Drop-offs after 9 AM will incur a $5 late fee, or may be turned away upon groomer discretion. Your groomer will call you when they're finished with your dog, and you may pick up any time before 6 PM.

What if I'm running late to pick up my dog?

Please call us as soon as possible if you are running late. Any pick-ups after closing time will incur a $5 late fee and are allowed up to 15 minutes past close. If you will be more than 15 minutes late, your dog will be set up for overnight and you may pick them up the next day.
